SardiCam is a web cam located in El Sardinero, a neighborhood located in the city of Santander, Cantabria, Spain.

El Sardinero Surfing: The La Primera (La Concha) and La Segunda beaches are well sheltered and their North East orientation make El Sardinero one of the most consistent surf beach breaks on the north coast of Spain from October to May.

El Sardinero is also where, in 1964, a Spaniard first surfed a local wave and where the first surfboard in Spain was made.

Bottom -	Sand, some rocks on La Concha beach
Wave Type -	Powerful, fast breaking waves that are fun and technical when small, can barrel and snap boards when big
Crowds -	Its an urban beach so respect and enjoy

Best Conditions for Surfing El Sardinero

Wind Direction -	West, South West, South,Northwest
Tides -	Rising tide but works in all tides
Swell Size -	Works from 1.5 up to 4+ meters depending on swell direction
Swell Direction -	North, Northwest

Why can´t I see the video?

SardiCam has been tested to work on all the latest versions of the major browsers for Mac and PC. It has also been tested on Iphone, Ipad and most Android mobile devices. If its not working for you it is likely that you need to upgrade or reconfigure your browser or mobile device.

Why am I having problems viewing the video on my Android/Galaxy device?

Apart from 3G connectivity problems this could be a solution:

the plug-ins option had to be set to ‘always on’ rather than ‘on demand’. This can be changed by going to (note: this is on our device so it may vary) the web browser, hitting the main button then menu > more > settings > enable plug ins > always on.
